This is a color broadcloth shirt from BEAMS PLUS.

BEAMS PLUS started in 1999 with the concept of "authentic menswear that can be worn for years without getting tired of it." It is rooted in the universal styles of American trad, military, and workwear from the 1940s to 60s.

Developed based on American button-down shirts produced in the 1960s. Vintage details are reproduced with modern Japanese technology, such as the exquisite roll of the collar and the deliberately time-consuming side stitches.

The shirt uses broadcloth (poplin) fabric made from Supima cotton, known as a high-quality cotton. The fine, high-density weave gives it an elegant sheen when light hits it, and the smooth texture feels comfortable against the skin, preventing stickiness even in the sweaty season.

The bright yellow color blends in with the spring sunshine, giving it a transparent feel. The broadcloth fabric allows the dye to spread evenly, resulting in a very clear color.

The orange bar tacks on the sides of the hem (gusset area) are the identity of BEAMS PLUS and add a subtle accent.

The center box pleat ensures ease of movement, and the hanger loop, which was a specification at the time, is faithfully reproduced.

When paired with a navy blazer and gray slacks, a very clean spring outfit is complete. The thin and supple fabric allows it to be worn under a jacket without looking bulky, and the silhouette looks beautiful.
