Up for sale is a rare pair of vintage Frey boots from the early 1960’s, original owner.
Black cloth Frye label inside the shaft (worn, but Frye lettering still visible)
Square toe (pre-Campus style, scarcer than round "banana boots")
Full leather sole and stacked leather heel. Made in USA
Original leather soles intact.
These boots predate Frye's famous Campus boots of the late '60s-'70s.
Unlike modern reproductions, these have the heavy leather soles, thick hides, and craftsmanship that built Frye's reputation. While the distressed look adds authentisity they still retain their indestructible strength. The left boot has one solid pull, and one slightly damaged but usable pull. The right has one solid pull and one damaged pull. See photos. Overall, they are in solid wearable condition for boots of this era. They fit and are comfortable. I am a size 9D today
