1960s Iceland Glit Lava Ceramic Bowl MCM
Here I have a fine piece of Icelandic pottery, very mid-century modern ceramic bowl, made with real lava pieces inserted into the side, they were made in many variations of colour, this one with deep, gray and blue hues to the inner, the outer is a deep glaze of dark gray.
Made in the 1960s by Glit pottery in Iceland, great stand alone pieces, look great in any home style, of any period.
The bowl is in good vintage condition, the upper outer edge has a small nibble, but I don't know if it was a manufacturer fault or a chip. It can be seen in pictures. Please let me know if you have any questions!
